Description

Spoutwell House is a house dating from the mid-16th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with a roof made of handmade red plain tiles. The house was rebuilt on the site of an open hall that is associated with No. 2, Dynes Cottage. There is a rear stack that has been partly rebuilt, and a single-storey extension to the left. The house is two storeys high and features a three-window range of 20th-century casements. The central door is topped with a moulded flat canopy supported by slender columns. Inside, some of the frame is exposed, showcasing stop-chamfered beams.
