Description
Brickwall Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It is timber framed and plastered, featuring red tiled roofs and an L-shaped plan. There are central red brick chimney stacks on each range of the building. The farmhouse has two storeys, with the north range having a first floor that contains two windows and a ground floor with four windows. The east range has a first floor with three windows and a ground floor with two windows, all of which are 20th century small paned casements. The east range also features two plank and muntin doors. There are two enclosed gabled porches on the north range, both with red tiled roofs and part glazed doors. Inside, the farmhouse is said to contain two original fireplaces with chamfered jambs and three-centred heads made of plastered brick, along with chamfered bridging joists.
