Description

Chestnut is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century. It features a timber frame with plaster and has a thatched roof with two gabled dormers. There is an external red brick chimney stack on the right side. The cottage is one storey high with attics and has a two-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes. The central entrance has a four-panelled door with a moulded surround and a plain pediment above. It is situated in a prominent position on the green near the pond.
