Description

St. Mary's is a house with origins dating back to the 16th century or earlier, featuring later roof raises, additions, and alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped by a red plain tiled roof that is hipped to the right of the main range and has a gabled forward crosswing to the left. There are external red brick chimney stacks on the left and at the forward central position. The house has two storeys and a window arrangement of 1:1, consisting mainly of small paned horizontal sliding sashes. A 20th-century central enclosed gabled porch with a half-glazed door is present. Inside, some timber framing is exposed, including an arched brace to the original tie beam.
