Description

The former barn, located 40 metres south-southeast of Blakelands, is a 15th-century structure originally used for hand threshing. It features five bays with a central threshing floor and has a hipped roof covered in iron. On the east side, there is a gabled porch, known as a midstrey. The barn is timber-framed, clad in black weather boards, and has red brick footings. Inside, it boasts a circular-post roof with a central crown post that is down braced. The design includes arch-braced ties and tapped collars, with halved and bridled scarfs and jowled posts.
