Description

Newhouse Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with a 20th-century extension. It features a timber frame with parget plaster and a red plain tiled roof. The building has a restored red brick chimney stack with four attached octagonal shafts. It is two storeys tall, with a single-storey extension to the left. On the ground floor, there is a four-light casement window and a 20th-century door with sidelights in the left extension. The right side of the house (north) is said to have two original oriel windows. Inside, there are jowled storey posts and a red brick fireplace with a straight mantel beam above.
