Description
Priestfields Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed with a timber frame and has ashlar line plastered walls. The roof is covered with red plain tiles. The house features a gabled crosswing on the left side and has a large red brick chimney stack to the left of the main range, as well as a red brick stack on the crosswing. The building is two storeys high, with a 1:4 window arrangement on the first floor and a 1:2 arrangement on the ground floor, which includes small paned casements. The ground floor on the left side has a 20th-century hipped red tiled bay. There is a gabled central porch that is part brick and part plastered, with a vertically boarded door. It is reputedly built on the foundations of a medieval secular building.
