Description

The Thatches is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier, with extensions added in the 20th century. It is timber-framed and has plaster walls and a thatched roof. The house has four bays aligned roughly east to west and features two internal chimney stacks, facing south. A single-storey, flat-roofed extension runs along the entire rear length and dates from the 20th century. A 18th-century six-panel door, with the top two panels glazed and set within a 20th-century pedimented surround, is present, along with three 20th-century casement windows and two additional windows located in gabled dormers. The roof is half-hipped at both ends.
