Description

Pannels Ash Farm is a barn dating from the 17th to 18th century, located approximately 35 metres northwest of the farmhouse. It features a timber frame with a red pantiled roof and has a central midstrey facing the road, flanked by lean-tos on either side. The barn has a vertically boarded door and consists of five bays. Notable architectural details include hanging knees to the tie beams, a side purlin roof, through bracing to the walls, and halved and bladed top plate scarfs. The barn is situated in a prominent position along the main road and has good group value with the adjoining outbuilding and farmhouse.
