Description

Little Chelmshoe House is a house, likely dating to the 17th century or earlier, with a 20th-century painted brick facade and a left-hand crosswing. The house has grey slate roofs on both the main block and the gabled crosswing. A plastered red brick chimney stack is present. The house is two storeys high and has a 2:1 window arrangement of 20th-century casement windows. A central, enclosed slate-roofed porch with sidelights is positioned at the front, leading to a four-panel door with a light over. Inside, the house retains an original red brick fireplace with a straight mantel beam above. Original features include very heavy stop-chamfered bridging joists and stop-chamfered floor joists.
