BRAD WELL CHURCH ROAD, BRADWELL TL 82 SW (south side) 2/12 Dovecote approx. 15 21.12.67 metres south-west of Park Farmhouse (formerly listed as Dovecote at Park Farm)

Dovecote, converted to a granary. C17, converted in C18/early C19. Timber framed, weatherboarded, roofed with handmade red plain tiles. Square plan. 2 storeys. Roof with gablet hips to NE and SW, the original vents filled in and rendered. External ladder to upper storey to NE. The studding of the ground floor has been infilled with brick within the weatherboarding, except the NE wall, where it has been removed for vehicle access, and later infilled with softwood studding. Jowled posts. Upper storey lathed and plastered internally, with 2 C18/early C19 corn bins. RCHM 5.
