Description

This barn, located approximately 30 metres west of White Notley Hall, dates back to the 16th century and has undergone a later re-roofing. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn has a gabled midstrey and consists of six large bays. Inside, there are arched braces supporting the tie beams, and the top plates show halved and bladed scarfs. The roof now includes Queen struts supporting a King post. This barn is considered a good example of its type.
