Description

This is a long range of 18th-century timber-framed and plastered houses located on Rayne Road in Bocking. The front elevation is now rendered with pebble-dash. The building has two storeys and attics, with a 13-window front. Windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in flush cased frames. The doors are 20th-century replacements, each with a small wooden hood. The roofs are tiled and have a mansard profile, punctuated by 13 flat-headed dormers; some dormers retain original horizontal sliding sashes. Numbers 48 to 74 (even) are grouped together.
