Description

LAMARSH HENNY ROAD TL 83 NE (east side) 2/71 Brook House GV II House. C16. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 5 or 6 bays aligned E-W, gable end to road, main entrance to N. External chimney stack to S of W bay, and internal chimney stack 2 bays from E end. 3 lean-to extensions to N, one forming a catslide roof, and one lean-to extension to S. 2 storeys. The W gable end has 2 C20 casement windows on the ground floor and one on the first floor. The garden elevation to the S has one pair of C19 french windows with marginal lights, one C20 sash, 2 C20 casements and one C20 door in glazed lean-to porch, and on the first floor 3 C20 casements and 2 C20 sashes. There is an underbuilt jetty at the W end, and the 2 W bays have axial and transverse beams and joists of horizontal section, all moulded. The beams and joists in the E bays are heavy but plain.
