Description
Town Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century, with later additions and alterations, and a wing at the rear. It is timber framed and plastered, featuring batten panels and a long wall jetty supported by four brackets. The roof is covered with red plain tiles, hipped to the right and includes a gabled dormer. The house has a three-range layout, with 19th-century three-light casement windows with margins on the first floor, while the ground floor has two bays with decorative panels. All windows are fitted with square leaded lights. The central entrance consists of a recessed board door with two lights and reveal panels, accessed by steps. There are two large square chimney stacks made of red brick. Inside, the house features moulded floor joists, stop-chamfered beams, and a simple crownpost roof.
