Description
The posts, railings, and dwarf wall located 5 metres south of Hare Bridge House on West Street were constructed in the early 19th century. The boundary features hardwood posts and cast and wrought iron railings, set on a dwarf wall made of red brick. There are four posts with rounded heads, each topped with an iron saddle and a short iron upright that supports an iron rail connected to the brick wall at the west end. Within the bays created by the posts, there are 10, 8, 8, and 8 flat balusters, each adorned with a honeysuckle motif at the base, along with scrolls and foliage, culminating in a fleur-de-lis finial that projects above the rail.
