Description
The east part of No. 16 is a house that has been converted into flats. It was built in the early 19th century and altered in the mid-19th century. The building is plastered and has a slate roof. The main section faces south and features a stack at the rear left, with a later 19th-century wing made of red brick extending beyond it, which has a stack at the junction and minor extensions at the end. The house is two storeys tall and has a two-window range of mid-19th-century sashes with marginal lights. There is an off-centre six-panel door, with the bottom panels flush, set in a simple doorcase that has a dentilled flat canopy supported by profiled brackets with guttae. The left side has rusticated plaster quoins. The roof is low-pitched. The second rear wing has been modified in the 20th century to create three garages facing to the left, with a flat above.
