Description
The structure consists of walls, railings, and a gate located 10 meters west of Bluebridge House, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is made of cast and wrought iron, red brick, and Portland stone. The wall at the northern end features a sloping moulded brick coping and buttress strips, connecting to the wall and railings that form the western boundary. This area includes spear-headed railings on a low wall on either side of the gateway. At each end, there are short sections of high wall with diapering, which are finished with square brick piers topped with moulded copings. The gate is crafted from scrolled wrought iron and includes a scrolled and foliate overthrow, featuring the initials J.M. (for John Morley) in wrought iron along with a lantern. There are also two stone steps with console-shaped abutments.
