Description
The gate, gateway, and railings on a dwarf wall form the roadside boundary to the south-west of Red House. This structure dates from the 18th century and is made of wrought iron, red brick, and stone coping. The central gate features a scrolled head and is hung with hinges. The railings are constructed from square sections with plain square spikes, and some of the railings are twisted. There are two rear supports, and the railings rise to the gateway, terminating at brick piers at each end. The overall length of the structure is approximately 16 metres, with the height of the railings varying from about 1.3 metres at the left end to approximately 1.6 metres at the right end due to the gradient.
