Description

The wall to the former house "The Grove," located on Newland Street, is a substantial structure built in the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is made of red brick and encloses approximately 180 yards of the northwest boundary of the property. The wall features a sloping brick coping adorned with brick dentils and has steps that sweep up at intervals along its length. This wall, along with the former house "The Grove" and No 3 (Freebournes House), is part of a group that includes Nos. 2 to 12 (even), the stable to No. 4, No. 16 (Rosleyn House), Whitehall Cinema, and Nos. 22 to 26 (even).
