Description
Nos 6 to 12 on Newland Street are an early 19th-century terrace of houses made from buff-colored gault brick. The buildings are two storeys high and include cellars, featuring a total of nine window openings with double-hung sashes that have glazing bars set in plain reveals. The central section and the ends, which each have two window openings, project slightly forward and are topped with a small pediment above the center. The central doors are paired and topped with a single pediment, featuring rectangular fanlights and panelled reveals. The outer doorways have six-panel doors with rectangular fanlights, along with panelled reveals, pilasters, and flat cornice hoods. A raised brick band runs between the two storeys, and the front is protected by iron spearhead railings. The roofs are hipped and covered with slate. This terrace forms a group with Nos 2 to 12, the stable to No 4, No 16 (Roslyn Home), Whitehall Cinema, Nos 22 to 26, the wall to the former house "The Grove," and No 3.
