Description
Cromwell Manor is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered house that has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The south front was refronted in the 19th century using yellow brick and features two large 20th-century semi-circular two-storey bays. The north front jetties on the upper storey supported by a moulded bressumer. The ground storey displays exposed timber-framing with brick nogging and includes two original window openings with moulded mullions, which are currently blocked. The house has two storeys, and the windows on the south front are generally double-hung sashes with glazing bars in the upper sashes. Between the bays, there is a 19th-century doorcase topped with a cornice on console brackets. The north front has a three-window range, also with double-hung sashes featuring glazing bars and square, stucco moulded hood moulds. The outer windows are three-light. At the west end, a wing extends to the north with one window range, which is three-light. The roof is tiled and includes five gabled dormers on the south front.
