Description
The Church of All Saints is a small church located on London Road in Vange, built from ragstone and flint with origins dating back to the Norman period. It features a nave and chancel, with the south wall of the nave displaying remnants of a Norman window. At the west end, there is a small timber bell turret that is weatherboarded and topped with a pyramid-shaped shingled roof. The roof is tiled.
The church contains 15th-century windows on both the north and south sides of the nave, and the south door also dates from the 15th century. Additionally, there is a 15th-century rood loft staircase. The roof structure consists of cambered tie beams and king posts, with the central post from the 15th century featuring a moulded cap and base, along with a castellated well plate of similar age. The font, which is from the 12th century, has a square bowl supported by five columns, with one side adorned with chevron ornamentation. The chancel includes wall monuments from the 17th century.
