Description

Number 43 on High Street is a 18th-century building with a red brick front featuring rusticated brick quoins, a parapet, and a moulded brick cornice, all part of a timber-framed structure. The building has two storeys and attics, with a three-window arrangement. The outer windows are three-light, double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in plain reveals, while the centre window is framed by a rusticated brick surround. The central doorway is adorned with a shouldered architrave and a dentilled pediment. The roof is tiled and has a mansard design, complete with two flat-headed dormers. This building is part of a group that includes numbers 41 to 47 on the odd side of the street.
