Description
The Thatched House is a cottage that was formerly two dwellings, built during two different periods in the 17th or 18th century. It features a timber frame that is rendered and has long straw thatch with two different ridge heights. The left end of the building is half hipped, and there are two ridge stacks made of grey brick. The northern end of the cottage consists of two bays and is one storey with an attic, including two dormers and two casement windows. The left-hand cottage is two storeys tall and has two similar mid-20th century casement windows, one of which is located on the right side and includes some medieval stained glass that has been reset. There are also two doorways from the same period and a small modern bay shop window.
