Description

Peacock Hall is a cottage with origins in the late 17th century that has been renovated. It features a timber frame, is rendered, and has a half-hipped long straw thatch roof with a ridge stack. The building is L-shaped and has two storeys. There are three casement windows on both the first and ground floors, set in enlarged openings. A doorway leads into a late 20th-century porch on the front wall. The rear wall and wing have late 17th-century stairlight openings, which now contain modern glazing. Inside, the cottage showcases exposed framing, including some inserted beams, along with some disturbance of the original timbers. It is included for its group value.
