Description
Middlemoor Cottage is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 17th century with later alterations and a 20th-century addition. The building is timber-framed and plastered, featuring a plastered plinth and roofs that are both plain tiled and pantiled. It has a tall red brick square planned ridge stack with indented shafts. The cottage is two storeys high, with a 20th-century extension on the right side. The original layout is a lobby entry with a three-unit plan and a range extending to the northwest. The entrance includes a half-glazed door with a 20th-century bracketed hood, and a 20th-century panelled door to the right. The windows are irregularly placed, with six casement windows on the ground floor and six on the first floor, all featuring glazing bars. Inside, the cottage has exposed timber framing and two open hearths, one of which includes a baking oven.
