Description

This is a cottage, likely dating to around 1750, with later 20th-century alterations. It is timber-framed and has been rendered, with a long straw thatch roof. A grey brick ridge stack of the 19th century protrudes from the roof. The cottage has a three-bay plan, with the original entrance located at the lower end of the central room. The structure is set facing the road. It is a single storey with an attic, featuring one original framed dormer window. Three windows were inserted in the mid-20th century. Inside, the inglenook hearth is lined with soft red brick, and an original newel staircase is present, although some of the balusters have been replaced.
