Description
Newlings Farmhouse is a house that has been converted into two dwellings. It was built in two phases, likely in the late 18th century and early 19th century. The structure is timber framed, modern rendered, and features a steeply pitched tiled roof with a small end stack that has two flues. The main range consists of two bays, with a crosswing added later. There is a lobby entry to the main range, and the building is two storeys high. The first and ground storeys have two late 20th century windows, along with a door of a similar period at the lobby entry. Inside, the two-bay main range has parallel main beams that are unchamfered and boxed in one room. There are abutting hearths dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, one of which has a mid-19th century fireplace surround. Only the middle rail in the rear wall of the timber framing is exposed.
