Description

Little Thatch is an 18th-century cottage, extended by one bay. It is timber-framed, with plaster rendering and a reed thatched roof. A grey brick ridge stack is located on the single bay plan, extended to the left by a narrower bay. The cottage features a doorway leading to a lobby-entry, and one three-light casement window. Dr. D. Mills's work, "Quality of Life in Melbourn, Cambs. in the period 1300-50", provides historical context.
