Description

Number 6 Barham Court is a house that dates back to the 16th century, with extensions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber frame that is exposed, and has a long straw thatch roof that is hipped at one end. There is an external side stack that was added in the 18th century. The house has a single range and a three-bay plan, standing two storeys tall. The southern end of the house was originally jettied but has since been underbuilt. Notable architectural features include curved downward tension bracing and uniform scantling studwork. The first floor has four small casement windows, while the ground floor has three windows and a doorway. The interior has not been seen.
