Description
Meadow Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with a 20th-century crosswing added to the north. It features a timber-framed structure with rough cast render and thatched half-hipped roofs. There is a red brick ridge stack located to the left of the center. The cottage is one storey high with attics and originally had a two-unit plan, with a dairy to the north that was possibly rebuilt in the 18th century. The original entrance has been sealed, and later 19th-century entrances were added when the cottage was subdivided, along with a 20th-century entrance in the crosswing. The cottage has two horizontal sliding sash dormer windows, two similar windows on the ground floor, and two in the west gable of the crosswing. Inside, there are exposed wall frames and floor frames, as well as an inglenook hearth in the central room.
