Description
Brook Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with early 19th-century additions and alterations. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure, with sections made of 19th-century gault brick, and has plain tile roofs. The building is two storeys high and has an L-plan layout, with a rear wing that is part of the original 17th-century construction. The main 19th-century range faces south and is symmetrical with three bays. It has a five-panelled door with a rectangular fanlight above, which is sheltered by a flat canopy supported on shaped brackets. This door is flanked by recessed sixteen-paned hung sash windows set in cambered brick arches. There are two similar windows on the first floor and one twelve-paned hung sash window located above the door.
