Description

A 17th-century cottage with a 20th-century cross wing located on the east side of May's Lane, Padworth. The cottage is constructed of brick and timber framing with angle braces and brick nogging, with a tile-hung gable end to the south. The roof is thatched with a half-hip design, featuring a semi-dormer window to the south, an end stack to the west, and a ridge stack to the rear of the cross wing. The south front has two 19th-century casement windows on the ground floor to the left, a first-floor casement above, and two ground-floor casement windows in the cross wing to the right. There is an entrance on the west side. The cottage is one bay wide with a cross wing.
