Description
Hatch Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with a 20th-century addition on the right. The building features a combination of brick and timber framing with arch braces and brick nogging, topped with old tile roofs that are half hipped to the right. It has a central 20th-century gabled dormer and three stacks. The layout is T-shaped, consisting of two framed bays with two additional framed bays projecting to the rear. The farmhouse is one and a half to two storeys tall, and all windows are 20th-century leaded casements. The original 17th-century section on the left has one first-floor window and three ground-floor windows to the left of the entrance, which is sheltered by a 20th-century gabled porch. The 20th-century block on the right includes two first-floor windows and one ground-floor window. An exposed queen post truss is visible in the end wall on the left, and there is a 20th-century timber-framed wing at the rear on the left.
