Description
Fisherman's Lodge is an entrance lodge that has been converted into a house. It dates from the 17th and 18th centuries, with a large two-storey block added to the north in the late 20th century. The building features rendered brick with a plat band, a cornice, and a battlemented gable end to the south, which includes a sunken quatrefoil panel. The roofs are covered with old tiles and there are two chimneys. The lodge has a Gothick addition to the earlier structure and consists of one and two storeys.
On the south front, there are glazing bar sash windows. The large central window has arched top lights and an ogee head with quatrefoil glazing bars. The flanking windows have foiled heads and sunken quatrefoil panels above them. The wings on either side are set back and have sloping battlemented parapets, with a sunken circular panel on the left and a 20th-century glazed door on the right. The side walls on both the left and right feature two circular windows with sunken quatrefoil panels above.
To the north, there is an 18th-century Gothick doorcase with a triangular pediment. Inside, there are remains of one 17th-century timber-framed bay and 19th-century stained glass in the Gothick wing to the south.
