Description

Old Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century and early 19th century. It has a timber-framed structure that is plaster rendered, with the front wall covered in grey brick from the early 19th century. The house features a steeply pitched tiled roof with an original brick stack, although the upper courses of the stack have been rebuilt, and there is a late 19th-century end stack. The layout consists of a single range and three bays, with the entrance located at the low end of the center bay, likely leading to an original small hall and stair bay. The building has two storeys and includes three early 19th-century sixteen-pane flush frame hung sashes, with the heads of the surrounds flush with the eaves. There are also two 19th-century bay windows on either side of the doorway.
