Description
The Orchard is a house dating from the 17th century, with 19th-century additions. It has a timber-framed structure with whitewashed brick cladding on a rendered plinth and a plain tiled roof. The house features an end stack to the left and a ridge stack to the right of the center. It has two storeys and an attic, which is accentuated by two gabled dormers and a plat band over part of the ground floor.
On the first floor, there are three 19th-century casement windows, with the right-hand bay being a 19th-century addition. The ground floor has windows to the left and right of the center, which are angle bays covered by tiled pentice roofs. To the left of the center, there is a half-glazed door that is accompanied by an early 19th-century projecting gabled porch with trellis work.
On the right-hand return front, there are two 19th-century square bay windows and 19th-century extensions at the rear.
