Description
Lacies Farmhouse is a house built around 1720 and later altered around 1840. It features red brick in English bond on the front and rear walls, while the end walls are rendered and likely timber-framed, as is the lower kitchen wing on the side. The house has a half-hipped tiled roof with a wooden eaves cornice and 19th-century grey brick stacks at the ends. Originally, it was designed as a single range with a single-storey kitchen wing. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two dormers. The symmetrical facade includes three 19th-century hung sash windows set in segmental arches. There is a central doorway topped with a 19th-century flat hood supported by shaped brackets, leading to a flush panelled door. At the rear, there is a 19th-century canted bay on a brick base. The timber-framed kitchen wing has a red brick front wall and a mansard roof. There are also 19th-century grey brick additions at the rear, which are tiled.
