Description

A row of three cottages, now functioning as two, was built in the late 18th or early 19th century and subsequently renovated, restored, and extended in the mid-20th century. The original timber framing has largely been replaced and the exterior is rendered. The roof is thatched with longstraw and half-hipped, with two grey brick ridge stacks. The cottages feature five dormers and five mid-20th century horizontal sliding sash windows. There are three doorways with boarded doors. A bay on the right-hand side and a wing to the rear are later additions. Original rafters remain within the roof space. The property is listed for its group value. E Willmer’s Old Grantchester provides historical context.
