Description

This is a late 17th or 18th century cottage located on the south-east side of Silver Street in Guilden Morden. It is a timber-framed building with a roughcast rendered exterior and a thatched roof. The cottage has a plastered plinth and a ridge stack on the left-hand side. The arrangement is of one storey and an attic. A lean-to thatched porch contains a 20th-century glazed door. There are two ground floor casement windows and two eyebrow horizontal sliding sash windows. This building holds group value as an example of a traditional rural cottage.
