Description

This is a late 17th-century house located on the east side of High Street, Guilden Morden. It has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The house is timber-framed and has a roughcast rendered exterior, with a tarred brick plinth. The roof is thatched, and a red brick stack rises from the centre. The building is two storeys high, with a lobby-entry plan and a gable-end outshut to the north. A 20th-century red brick gabled porch has been added. There are two three-light casement windows on each floor. The interior features sealed hearths. Historically, the house operated as “The Pig and Whistle” public house.
