Description

This cottage, located at 27 Barley Road in Great Chishill, is possibly from the 17th century. It features a timber frame with 20th-century panelled roughcast render. The roof is half-hipped and thatched, with a rebuilt ridge stack. The building has one storey and an attic. The main entrance is on the left side, which includes a 20th-century door, and there are two casement windows to the right, along with one eyebrow dormer window. The cottage was extended to the left in the 19th century and is linked to a small thatched barn that is now converted for domestic use.
