Description
Stepaside Cottages are two cottages that have been combined into one dwelling. They date from the late 17th century or early 18th century and are constructed with a timber frame and plaster, topped with a half hipped thatched roof. The building features a rectangular red brick ridge stack. It is one storey with an attic and originally had a four-unit plan for two cottages. The main entrance has a closed porch and there are four 20th-century casement windows with lattice lights. Additionally, there are two plain tiled gabled dormer windows. Inside, the structure reveals exposed floor frames and timber framing, along with two hearths, one of which is a small hearth on the first floor.
