Description

Rose Cottage is a small cottage dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a plastered exterior. The roof is thatched, and there is a red brick ridge stack. The cottage is one storey with an attic and features a two-unit plan, with the main entrance located on the east side. There is an original blocked entrance facing the road. On the ground floor, there are two 19th-century four-paned hung sash windows. The cottage was built after the fire of 1798, and there is a fire insurance plaque located between the windows on the front elevation.
