Description
The lodge at Number 17, located on Knights Way in Milton, dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of yellow brick with red brick dressings and features patterned decoration. The roof is made of modern interlocking tiles. The building has deep boarded eaves with pierced and shaped barge boards that include finials. It is one storey with an attic and has a two-storey porch facing south.
The lodge features two gabled dormer windows with hung sashes and side lights, as well as a hung sash attic window. The doorway is set within a two-storey recessed ogee-headed brick panel in the porch, which has ogee-headed arches. There are also two recessed hung sash windows with side lights, set in cambered brick arches with chamfered reveals, all recessed in wide four-centred arched brick panels.
Surrounding the lodge is a wall topped with stone copings, along with three piers that have moulded stone caps and torch finials.
