Description

Essex House is a cottage dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and rendered, topped with a shallow mansard roof covered in plain tiles. The building features two ridge stacks and a gable end stack on the west side. It has one storey and an attic, with a dentil brick eaves cornice. The cottage includes four gabled dormer windows fitted with casements, and on the ground floor, there are six windows of various sizes, including two horizontal sliding sash windows. Additionally, there is a modern closed porch and two garden doors.
