Description
The Jolly Brewers Public House is an inn that dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features a timber-framed and plastered rear elevation, which is cased in early 19th-century gault brick, with some local 18th-century brick that has been painted. The building has a slate roof and a ridge stack. It stands two storeys high and has a three-unit, lobby entry plan that has been extended by one bay to the south.
On the first floor, there are four horizontal sliding sash windows, while the ground floor has two similar sash windows and two casement windows. The entrance features a half-glazed panelled door within a modern closed, gabled porch. There is a wrought iron bracket for an inn sign on the east gable. Inside, some of the timber frame and floor frame are exposed, and there are two brick hearths.
