Description
The Homestead is a house built between 1901 and 1904, featuring a combination of brick, roughcast render, and exposed timber framing on the first floor of its crosswing. It is designed in the Arts and Crafts style with steeply pitched tiled roofs, including a red brick side stack and an end stack. The building stands two storeys high, with the main range showcasing two gable eaves dormers, each fitted with flush frame casements containing three leaded lights. The entrance is located in a porch with a lean-to tiled roof that connects the main range to the crosswing. The crosswing also has two storeys, with its first floor jettied. It features exposed timber-framing and a moulded fascia board on the jetty beam, along with one flush frame casement of five leaded lights on the first floor and a canted bay window on the ground floor.
