Description

The War Memorial, dating from around 1920, is dedicated to those who served in World War I and II. It is made of Portland stone and features a life-size statue of a soldier in marching order, with arms reversed and in a mourning pose. The statue stands on a high square plinth with a shaped top, and the sides of the plinth have recessed panels that include inscriptions.
